We are Humans. We eat, drink, sleep, and work. All our day to day activities spin around these basic needs. These activities take almost all our time, that all of us have almost forgotten that we are not just humans. We are Human Beings.
I can almost hear most of you thinking (so what??? What is the big deal???)
And if you want my answer ….
“It is a big deal…”
You can exist as humans , but to live you have to be Human beings.
So now how can we be human beings?
We do not have to be we already are. But we have almost forgotten to live the being part.
Do I sound like a preacher? Sorry if I do. I just felt like sharing that that I have enjoyed.
Now without much of lecturing or preaching let us do this simple exercise.
Do not be skeptical. Just give it a try.
Close your eyes and shift your attention to your palm and your feet. Do not think, but feel. In a few minutes you will be able to feel your being in your palm and feet, which you can slowly expand to other parts of your body.
This can be done any time ….just squeeze it in between your busy work schedules. Let us learn to be aware …
I would wish to read what you felt like in the comments section…so please go ahead and try…

Do you follow pranic healing..just out of curiousity..because the same principle is used there to energise 'chakras'..My mom being a practitioner/follower of it, i have tried experimenting with this energy waves which we possess but dont experience unless we concentrate enough..
I felt like a ghost, removed from all worldly cares. Loved it. You don't realize (are aware, really) how much tension you hold until you let go, however briefly.
No, Nanditha, I do not think you preachy at all. Thanks for this post.
Nandita, a good post... Liked this, one reason bec I am -- in my own little way -- practising this.
I felt relaxed, I literally felt my shoulders drop. I'm off to bed to do some more of this and hopefully get a restful night's sleep. Thank you dear one.
I have the same question as Mathew. My boss is a pranic healing follower n he conducts such sessions in office and I've tried it..
Mathew,
I do not follow pranic healing...i have learn reiki healing.. I think everything is based on the same principles.whether you follow any special healing or not it is wonderful to experience these energy waves. I bet you do not need lot of effort... you just have to sit and stop thinking and start feeling your body:) I remember you once told me that your mom loves to read the power of now. I would for sure love to meet her:)
Susan,
Thank you for telling me that I was not preachy:)
I am glad that you liked the post.
Pradeep,
i enjoyed your post this time which was on slowing down... we seriously need to start doing that..only then will we realise how much we are missing...
cynthia,
hope you had a night 's sleep.
dhanya,
see what i wrote for mathew.
i dont know - yoga, meditation, withdrawal...alll these are supposedly great for the one who practices it right. I have decided to try them only at a time when the mind is clearer& calmer. Probably a few years from now!!
Meditation was a major help to me and even now that I'm no longer able to do it formally, it reached a point, after years, where it often essentially does itself in the background, if that makes sense.
There are quite a variety of specific approaches, but it seems to me that the common feature is getting the mind to be quiet - to stop saying anything at all to oneself, which I at first found much harder than I could have imagined, but eventually much more rewarding.
I sometimes use this--but only when I am in a low mode.
Maybe i should do it more often--but sigh--there is so much to do!!
tried it..but not for too long..the sensation in my legs is dead ..but arms and body ..it did give a good feel..maybe I shd do it for a longer period
lakshmi
Perfect advice!
I do this exercise.
I feel my body, relax....
I clean my body...
and
I open my body to come a new, universal healing energy.
Nandi, you are a beautiful soul
and talented healer.
